artists statement-I feel that I have been sitting naked at the crux of vulnerability and boldness, and now I'm finally allowed to express my contradictions confidently. I have chosen to profit from my naked body, which has forced me to examine my relationship with my body much more closely. I am committed to giving my body more love by shooting myself in a way that isn’t for how many likes it will get, how it will sell, or what people will think. I am committed to shooting myself as a way of expressing love to myself because that’s what I deserve.

artists statement-I tried to embody the gaudiness of my room in this shoot - whether I was wrapped in lace or draped like iridescent silk across the Persian rug. In this respect, I felt the project was an opportunity to look at myself in a more ornamentalist light - as a feature of shape and colour complementing the room. It was a joyous escape from the restrictive standards by which I typically analyse photos of myself: formulaic ideals of hip to bust ratios, the perverse parabolas of a concave waist. Art aside, I also found the project rather titillating. I’ve always enjoyed the idea of being perversely spied upon, and I think this is the most ethical incarnation of that.

artists statement-In the past, I have done a series of nude self-portraiture using a Bluetooth shutter button as I was creating landscape images to explain my connection to growing up in the country and it being my place of safety. I was very interested in the ISM idea, while people are more accepting of nudity than in the past, there is still a massive stigma around expressing and showing yourself nude. I feel more comfortable in myself after this experience as it has reminded me of how human I am and allowed me to see all the ways my skin folds and stretches. This has also reminded me that whoever sees my body, in a more intimate way, is lucky because I'm damn gorgeous.
